Leadership Development

Each year every Ticktocker (daughters) and Patroness (mothers) are able to learn leadership skills through taking responsibility for different aspects of chapter life, whether being a member of  the chapter board (Patronesses), on a committee, or on a class board of officers (Ticktockers). Meetings for Ticktockers are conducted using Robert’s Rules of Order just like the Patroness meetings, so that the girls learn skills that prepare them for organizational work throughout their life.

Numerous Chapter committees involve Patronesses and Ticktockers working side by side on Chapter events, allowing the mothers/Patronesses to serve as role models and for the Ticktockers to gain confidence in their own leadership abilities as their input is utilized and considered valuable by the adult leaders, and as they report back to their class about their committee work.
