Our Chapter History
The Richardson Chapter of National Charity League was established in 2005 by a group of mothers who had a vision of volunteering in the local community and strengthening the mother-daughter bond with their own daughters. It has grown to an Active Membership of over 200 Members each year, who volunteer not only at Richardson organizations, but throughout the Metroplex; who improve their leadership skills by being Members of Chapter boards and committees; and who participate in many exciting cultural experiences.
“NCL’s a win-win for everyone involved,” said Joanie Scott, Founding president of the Richardson Chapter, who participated in the Chapter for eight years with two daughters. “It’s a great source of help for local nonprofit organizations, and it helps Chapter Members expand their minds and hearts as they learn more about our community and its needs.” (as quoted in the April 2016 issue of Richardson Today, a publication of the City of Richardson.)
